Accidentally deleting a photo hurts. Breathe: in many cases you can recover deleted photos without dramas, using trash, backups and the cloud. The trick is not "magic", it is order and act in time.
Before installing anything, go native: Recently removed of the telephone, Google Photos and Google Drive recovery. They are fast, reliable and do not expose your data. Then, if necessary, evaluate advanced options.

First of all: increase your odds
Every minute counts. When you continue to use your cell phone, new data can overwrite the space where your images were. Therefore, stop unnecessary downloads, avoid new photos and don't install too many "miracle" apps.
Make a quick list: approximate date, event and folder where the photos were. This map saves you time and clicks. If you were using SD cardTurn off the phone and remove it: all analysis must be done. read-only from a computer, ideally on a copy of the card.
Focus first on Trash/Deleted of the system and in the cloud. Only if they do not appear there, consider advanced tools from PC/Mac. Fewer changes = more chances of success.
Phone trash and galleries: quick rescue
On Android, open Photos wave Gallery from the manufacturer and enter Bin/Recently Deleted. The system stores items for a period of time (usually 30-60 days). Select and press Restore: they return to their original place.
On iPhone, go to Photos → Albums → Recently deleted. Choose the images and touch Retrieve. You will confirm that they reappear in the reel and in your albums.
Check also internal trash cans of apps you use (manufacturer's gallery, editors, file managers). Restore first the most valuable and verify that it is visible. If it does not appear, do not delete anything "to test"; keep the current status for the next steps.
