💻 1. My Account — Canada.ca
Sign in to your My Account at canada.ca/my-cra-account using your CRA user ID or your bank sign-in credentials. Under “Benefits and credits” you can view your next scheduled direct deposit date, the net amount of your pension benefit, any deductions applied and a complete history of all previous bank account credits.
You can also use My Account to update your banking information for direct deposit, change your mailing address and manage your tax withholding preferences — all without visiting a branch or calling a phone line.
📱 2. CRA My Account mobile app
Download the MyCRA app free from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). After signing in, navigate to “Benefits” to access:

- Your next CPP and OAS direct deposit date
- Net payment amount after deductions
- Registered bank account details for direct deposit
- History of previous automatic payments és bank account credits
- Option to update your banking information directly in the app
Tipp: enable push notifications in the app to receive an alert on your phone each time your pension benefit is deposited into your chequing account or savings account.
📞 3. Service Canada helpline — 1-800-277-9914
Call 1-800-277-9914 toll-free from anywhere in Canada, Monday to Friday during business hours. A Service Canada representative can confirm your next payment date, the amount of your pension benefit and the bank account details registered for your direct deposit. Have your Social Insurance Number (SIN) ready to verify your identity.
For seniors without access to a smartphone or computer, this is the most accessible option. TTY service is also available at 1-800-255-4786 for beneficiaries with hearing or speech impairments.
🏦 4. Bank statement or online banking
Once your direct deposit is processed, you can verify the credit through your bank’s mobile app, online banking portal or ATM. The deposit will appear on your bank statement as “SERVICE CANADA” or “CANADA CPP” followed by the amount. Most major Canadian banks — including RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO és CIBC — process the automatic payment by the morning of the scheduled date.
Practical tip: set a recurring monthly reminder on your phone for the day before your expected payment date so you can plan your bill payments, bank transfers and grocery shopping accordingly without relying on memory.
