How to check your exact Carer Payment date
How to check your Carer Payment: myGov, app and phone
There are four official and free ways to confirm your exact fortnightly Carer Payment date and verify your payment details. None require you to visit a Services Australia service centre in person or share your bank account details with a third party.

💻 1. myGov — my.gov.au
Sign in to your myGov account at my.gov.au and select the Centrelink tile. Under “Payments and claims” then “Payment history”, you can view your next scheduled Carer Payment direct deposit dates, the net amount of each fortnightly payment, any deductions applied and a full history of previous bank account credits. You can also see your Carer Allowance payments listed separately.
If you do not yet have a myGov account, create one for free at my.gov.au and link it to your Centrelink record. This gives you full access to all your payment information and allows you to manage your banking details, submit medical reviews and update your personal information online.

📱 2. Express Plus Centrelink app
Download the free Express Plus Centrelink app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). After signing in with your myGov credentials, navigate to “Payments” to view:
- Your next fortnightly Carer Payment direct deposit date and amount
- Your Carer Allowance payment dates if applicable
- Your recent payment history and bank account credits
- The BSB number and account number registered for your payments
- Any deductions, supplements or add-ons included in your Carer Payment
Tip: enable push notifications in the app so you receive an alert on your phone each time your Carer Payment is credited to your bank account. This saves you the time and stress of checking your balance manually every fortnight, freeing up more time for your caring responsibilities.
📞 3. Centrelink line — 132 717
Call 132 717 from anywhere in Australia, Monday to Friday during business hours. A Centrelink representative can confirm your next fortnightly Carer Payment date, the amount of your payment and the bank account details registered for your direct deposit. Have your Customer Reference Number (CRN) or Medicare card ready to verify your identity.
For carers without access to a smartphone or computer, this is the most accessible option. Interpreter services and TTY are available — ask the operator when you call.
🏦 4. Bank account statement or online banking
Once Centrelink processes your fortnightly automatic payment, you can verify the credit through your bank’s mobile app, internet banking or at an ATM. The deposit will appear on your bank statement as “CENTRELINK” followed by the payment type and amount. This is consistent across all major Australian banks including Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, Westpac and NAB.
If you bank with a credit union or building society, the process is the same — your available balance will reflect the direct deposit by the morning of your payment day. Most institutions allow you to check your balance for free via phone banking or a mobile app.
Practical tip: set a fortnightly recurring reminder on your phone for the day before your expected Carer Payment date so you can plan medical appointments, prescription refills and essential shopping around your payment cycle without having to remember the exact dates.
